Nueces River Residence

Located in a neighborhood promoting architecture and craftsmanship of Tuscany this design seeks to capture that inspiration with simple humble forms artfully massed into a hillside villa. The volumes of the home build into a pinnacle of bell tower and second floor retreat over the entry breezeway. The steeply sloping site is utilized to conceal the mass of garage necessary to house the owner’s classic car collection. North South orientation is used to promote the best views of the river valley while controlling abundant natural daylight to create well light interiors with little glare. Large back porches draw events out to the expansive river views of the backyard. Careful selection quality materials and well-crafted workmanship bring about a true reflection of Tuscan influence to the project.
